KiC-Start signs MoU with StartupTN
We are proud to announce a strategic partnership with StartupTN to provide enhanced funding and mentorship opportunities for our rural innovators. This MoU facilitates direct access to the TANSEED grant pipeline and connects our student entrepreneurs with a broader network of state-level mentors and investors. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our mission to uplift the regional startup ecosystem.
Design Thinking Workshop for 3rd Year Students
A hands-on session on 'Empathy Mapping and Prototyping' was conducted by Mr. S. Kumar, Senior UX Designer from Zoho Corporation. Over 120 students participated in the event, learning how to empathize with users, define problem statements, and create rapid prototypes using tools like Figma and physical cardboard models.
Incubatee 'AgriTech Solutions' wins State Award
Our student startup 'AgriTech Solutions' secured the 2nd prize at the Tamil Nadu Student Innovators (TNSI) challenge held in Chennai. Their project, a solar-powered automated irrigation system, was praised by the jury for its cost-effectiveness and high impact potential for small-scale farmers in drought-prone regions.
IVP Grant Distributed to 5 Student Teams
Innovation Vouchers worth ₹2 Lakhs each were distributed to 5 promising student teams for developing their Proof of Concepts (PoC). The selected projects span across domains like Healthcare, IoT, and Waste Management. These teams will now proceed to the prototyping phase under the guidance of KIC-Start mentors.
